Cigar College

Introduction

With the resurgence of cigar smoking, great romance has been associated with premium handmade cigars. Cigar-making is an art and a science. Most of us will never have the opportunity to witness what takes place in the making of cigars. We pride ourselves in bringing the art of cigar making to thousands around the country with our cigartainment events.

It takes time and loving care to create what ultimately are considered fine cigars. Many books and articles have been written about the process, giving us a greater appreciation of cigar manufacturing.

Cigar College is a compilation of what we have learned from experts such as Edgar Cullman, Sr. and Benjamin Memendez makers of Macanudo and Partagas cigars, and Henkie Kelner maker of Davidoff, Avo and Griffin's. Cigar College is written based on our years of experience in the cigar industry and extensive reading.

We have presented most of this information to cigar enthusiasts at cigar dinners, in-store events, and training seminars. We have learned that cigar-smoking is a very personal experience and subjective to taste. There is no right or wrong way to light, cut, or enjoy your cigar. It is a personal experience that can be enjoyed in your own corner of the world.

Both men and women have discovered that smoking a good cigar is satisfying and relaxing. Great cigars should be smoked slowly, not in a hurry. Cigars demand time to be appreciated and a leisurely atmosphere to be fully enjoyed. Knowledge is golden, and when you understand more about cigars, you can enjoy and appreciate them even more.
